NIC is dedicated to fulfilling its responsibilities towards employees, the community, and the environment, in alignment with the “New Kuwait 2035” vision and the Sustainable Development Goals. The company strives for sustainability by embedding social responsibility within its mission an d values to ensure a positive societal impact and minimize environmental impact.

NIC collaborates with local and international organizations to support education, community, and environmental initiatives. It also works to raise employee awareness of the importance of social responsibility, thereby enhancing performance and achieving sustainability goals.

Regarding Environment Responsibility, NIC has obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for its white Blocks, Interlock tiles, and Glue Mortar products. This international standard reflects NIC’s commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of its products and services, making it one of the pioneering companies in this achievement.

 

In terms of community engagement, the company undertook various activities, including:

 

National Industries Company and Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research Strengthen Cooperation in Research and Development in the Construction Sector.

National Industries Company, represented by the Deputy CEO of Manufacturing, Eng. Marzouq Issa Bouarki, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, represented by its General Manager, Dr. Faisal Salman Al-Humaidan, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in research, development, and innovation in the construction and infrastructure sectors. This partnership contributes to the development of advanced solutions and technologies that support sustainability and enhance the competitiveness of the national industry, in line with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035.

The memorandum includes the implementation of joint research and applied projects, the exchange of scientific and technical expertise, and the utilization of the research and technical capabilities of both parties to develop innovative construction materials and technologies that contribute to improving sector efficiency and supporting local solutions.

Both parties emphasized the importance of this partnership in strengthening integration between the industrial sector and research institutions, and in transforming scientific research outputs into practical applications with economic and developmental impact, in addition to supporting the development of national capabilities and the transfer of knowledge and technology.

Through this cooperation, National Industries Company continues to support innovation and sustainability efforts, contributing to the development of the construction and infrastructure sectors and enhancing the added value of Kuwait’s industrial sector.
National Industries Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Construction Training Institute, part of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), to support national talent development and strengthen cooperation with educational institutions.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Marzouk Bouarki, Executive Vice President – Factories, and Eng. Meshari Almubaraki, Director of the Institute, and aims to enhance technical training and skills development in line with industry needs.
National Industries Company organized a blood donation drive in the Sulaibiya Industrial Area in cooperation with the Blood Bank, with strong employee participation. The initiative aims to support the national blood supply and promote a culture of giving and social responsibility, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to serving the community.
Organizing training for students from the Construction Institute of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training through a field visit to the company’s factories and sponsoring graduation projects for students from Kuwait University.
Renovating and decorating school walls with the Kuwaiti flag using products from the paint factory, aligned with the national holidays.
Supplying schools with traffic barriers to ensure the safety of students from traffic dangers.
Designing and creating a Flag Square at the Hawally Educational Area, including a fully constructed platform with a flagpole made of concrete pipes and interlocking tiles painted with the company’s paint.
Sponsoring the KIU Tour program led by the Kuwait Industries Union, in cooperation with Visit Kuwait and Ghalia Company, to highlight the production lines of the company.

NIC Forum Enhances Engagement and Knowledge Sharing Among Kuwaiti Employees

The Human Resources Department at National Industries Company (NIC), in collaboration with senior management, organized the NIC Forum, bringing together a number of Kuwaiti employees to strengthen internal communication, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote a culture of belonging and innovation.

The forum featured an open dialogue between senior management and employees, providing an opportunity to exchange views and aspirations while emphasizing the importance of empowering national talent and supporting the company’s strategic goals.

Held on June 11, 2026, at The Regency Hotel Kuwait, the event concluded with a reaffirmation of NIC’s commitment to initiatives that develop human capital and foster a culture of collaboration and engagement across the organization.

National Industries Company Organizes Umrah Trip for Employees with Participation of 49 Staff Members

National Industries Company organized an Umrah trip for a group of its employees, with the participation of 49 staff members, on Monday, March 2, 2026 (13 Ramadan 1447 AH), reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting the social and spiritual well-being of its employees.

The trip was organized in cooperation with Islam Presentation Committee, which delivered an introductory seminar for participants on the rituals, rulings, and etiquettes of Umrah, aiming to raise awareness on how to properly perform the pilgrimage while enhancing the spiritual values associated with this act of worship.

This initiative comes as part of the company’s efforts to organize activities that strengthen bonds among employees and promote a positive work environment based on cooperation and camaraderie, in addition to supporting programs with meaningful social and humanitarian impact.

Organizing the Fourth NIC Football League on Friday, January 23, 2026, with the participation of teams representing several of the company’s departments and factories, as part of its efforts to foster a positive work environment and strengthen team spirit. The league forms part of the company’s internal initiatives aimed at enhancing institutional engagement and promoting employee well-being, reflecting National Industries Company’s commitment to its corporate values and corporate social responsibility.

National Industries Company organized an Umrah trip to the Holy Mosque in Makkah and Medina, with the participation of 65 employees. This trip is part of the company's annual social activities, which it organizes for its employees to foster team spirit and communication among everyone.

To enrich the Umrah experience, the company invited the Islamic Awareness Committee to provide guidance and educate the participants about the rituals of Umrah, catering to both Arabic-speaking and non-Arabic-speaking participants. Additionally, the company continued its annual tradition of providing Iftar and Suhoor meals for all employees working at its factories in the Salibiya, Mina Abdullah, and Shuwaikh areas during the blessed month of Ramadan.

National Industries Company hosted the (Greish) event in honor of its employees, with the presence of the executive management, to strengthen the bonds of unity and brotherhood among the work team, celebrating the upcoming arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, may it return to us and to you with goodness.

The event was attended by employees and engineers from the Al-Sulaibiya and Al-Shu'aybah Industrial Complexes, as well as the general administration."
An Umrah trip to the sacred sites of Mecca and Medina, with 45 employees taking part in this annual social activity. The Islam Awareness Committee was also invited to educate employees on the Umrah rituals, catering to both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers. Additionally, National Industries Company continued its annual tradition of providing Iftar and Suhoor meals for all employees in its factories in Subaiyya, Mina Abdullah, and Shuwaikh during Ramadan.
The company organized football tournaments under the National Industries Cup for its employees, aiming to build stronger relationships between staff, showcase creativity across various departments, and nurture a spirit of teamwork and healthy competition, the above picture is from the second NIC cup tournament whiv=ch held in February 2nd 2024.
As part of the company's ongoing efforts to enable its employees to showcase their creativity, NIC Third Cup Tournament was organized on February 7, 2025. Three teams were formed,the General Administration team, Sulaibiya Factory Group team and Industrial Suaiba Factory Group team.
